About your doula

I am a wife, mother of 4, former surrogate, & certified doula! I have a passion for babies, kids, breastfeeding, & women. Women who struggle with infertility & infant loss hold a special place in my heart. When I was 19yrs old, my Aunt had a stillborn. She was like a mother to me. I was with her through her labor & delivery and refused to leave her side, even days after she delivered. Little did I know, a seed was planted in my heart from that experience. Not long after, I had friends and family that struggled with infertility, miscarriages, and infant loss. All the while, I was having easy, uncomplicated, low risk, pregnancies, labors, & deliveries. It wasn't fair & my heart hurt for those women. After having 3 children of my own, I decided I would help women who wanted to become mothers by becoming a surrogate. 

At 21 weeks pregnant, as a gestational surrogate, I hemorrhaged, almost lost my own life, & experienced my very first loss. Even though the baby was not biologically mine, I was broken. After taking the time to heal & having my own rainbow baby, I was ready to help again. This time around I would help in a different way. This time I am a voice for women, especially for women who decide to birth in a hospital. I would represent them the way a lawyer represents their client in court. Unfortunately, there are doctors & medical professionals who do not allow women the right to a physiological birth. There are doctors who, without informed consent, take unnecessary measures with pregnant women, including those who are considered low risk. One common example are of doctors pressuring women to induce & thereby projecting them into a c-section, all of which could have easily been avoided. Birth is not inherently a medical event. Women should not be forced to deliver on their backs especially for the convenience of doctors. Birth is such a beautiful, empowering, unforgettable moment & women should be allowed to deliver their babies the way they choose. I have become a certified doula to help women have their babies the way they want; the way they deserve. 

The divine feminine is the feminine aspect of the divine power that connects and binds the earth together. It is the goddess energy that exists within every woman.

It is my goal to help women embrace their divine feminine & harness that energy from pregnancy through birth and thereafter. As your doula, it would be my honor to assist and guide you on one of the most remarkable experiences life has to offer.
